Aluminum Frame - 7/8" & 1 3/8" Nail Fin Offset Hy-Lite offers aluminum framed windows with either a 7/8" or 1 3/4" nail fin offset (the distance from the nail fin to the exterior surface of the frame). Available with either 2" or 3" thick blocks. All aluminum frames are thermally broken (except clear anodized).
RoundTop™ & ArchTop™ Frame Hy-Lite's RoundTop and ArchTop windows come in a thermally-broken aluminum frame with either a 7/8" or 1 3/8" nail fin offset. 2" thick block is used in all RoundTop and ArchTop windows.
J-Channel Frame J-channel frame utilizes Hy-Lite's 2" thick blocks. Only available with a 7/8" nail fin offset, this frame has an extended exterior leg to hide any uneven side cuts. Available in white only.
Stucco Block Frame Stucco block frame utilizes Hy-Lite's 2" thick blocks (intended for use in block construction). Available in white only.
Aluminum Frame used for Interior Wall Installation Hy-Lite's nail fin aluminum framed windows can be installed into an interior wall. Snap off the nail fins (on request, Hy-Lite will remove the nail fins), shim the window in the opening, and install mouling or drywall to block the window in the opening.
1 3/4" Frame The 1 3/4" aluminum frame has no nail fin and is used primarily for sidelites, doorlites, and transoms. Use trim or casing to block the window in the opening.
