Recently our home was broken into. They broke a double paned window in the master bathroom that is about 46x46 inches. I would like to replace it with something that is strong, energy efficient, and provide privacy. Does the acrylic window blocks meet that requirement? How do I go about installing it? I've read all the faq and message on this board that might help me out, but I'm not sure how it all will go when I install it. What do you recommend?

Hello home owner, How easy is it for a burglar to break through an acrylic block window? Although acrylic blocks can be broken with a hammer or crowbar, acrylic is harder to break than a glass window. Plus, because the window is made of individually secured blocks it makes break-in a time consuming effort. It would be much quicker and easier for a burglar to break through a regular glass window or door. As most Police Officers will tell you it only takes 5 minutes to break-in and sack a residence. “Tips for protecting your home”, please visit CBC link : http://www.cbc.ca/consumers/market/files/home/break_in/hometips.html Installation link: http://www.acrylicblocks4less.com/page/page/4479966.htm Cost for a 83-4444 acrylic block window $512.00 44" x 44" acrylic block window
