Example: 29" wide + 33" high = 62 united inches For outside mount (outside the window casing): Simply add the width and height to the outside of the window trim molding (if present) plus 2 inches each side (for shutter frame) for the total number of united inches. Example:  34" wide + 38" high + 8" (2" on all 4 sides)= 80 united inches NOTE:  For window openings that sit on a protruding sill the shutter frame will sit on the sill and 2 inches does not have to be added for that side.
